Meet the Lake Ogemaw Marina Owners, Tom and Toni Forton

A familiar face at our marina, Tom Forton is taking on a new role as the owner of the marina. Joining Tom as owner and partner is Toni, his wife who will be helping part-time in their new adventure. Tom and Toni are life-long residents of Ogemaw County. Tom grew up less than a mile from the marina and began his career there in 1996. He took a detour into law enforcement and spent the next 10 years as a deputy sheriff in Ogemaw and Iosco counties. He rejoined the marina in 2011. Toni will also present a familiar face to many of our customers, as she has been a nurse at MidMichigan Health of West Branch (formerly West Branch Regional Medical Center) since 1993 when she began her nursing career after graduating from Kirtland Community College. She also moonlights with Serenity Home Healthcare. Tom and Toni are very excited about their new adventure and look forward to opening the doors each spring to provide excellent service to the families of Lake Ogemaw and the surrounding lakes.
